Day 32: Blanding, UT

Day 30, 31, 32

June 15, 2015 - June 17, 2015

Miles: 52
Day 30:  Hanksville to Hite

Miles: 49
Day 31:  Hite to National Bridges Monument

Miles: 38
Day 32:  National Bridges Monument to Blanding

Total for three days:  139 miles

For the past three days we rode through the Utah desert. Temperatures for all three days in the middle 90s and with no services between Hanksville and Blanding (139 miles).  It was uphill.  It was hot.  It was windy.  It was difficult!  Tonight we are resting well in a Blanding motel.  The past two nights we slept in our tent.  In Hite, we slept in a deserted campground and in the National Bridges Campground, we shared a tent site with a couple from Switzerland.

More on this three day journey tomorrow.

The WiFi is not very good where we are so no pictures can be uploaded tonight.  Tomorrow a Day 33 post will be forthcoming with pictures and the gory details.

  2. Just heard Michelle scream a little when your Blog came up and her comment was accepted. She has tried a number of times to comment on past posts, with most of them not going through. So she was very happy to have this one posted. Sounds like you guys could use a day off after 3 days in the desert. Stay safe and have fun!
